Re: Super M front grill?

In above post I meant to say different radiators instead of grills near end of post,also besides the MTA style grill with extra holes for culivator brace some grills were like the MTA type but were flat where big holes go. The holes were just not drilled or punched out. Those type grill may have came on some late SM tractors. Never found any 100% proof one way or other,so not going to say its a fact. Latest parts book for M tractors shows 59516 DE grill for tractors 24215 and up which is same grill showing in latest part book for SM and SMTA tractors. most IH people know that origialy all three grills were a little different in looks and emblem mounting. The late parts books were put out after the above tractors were out of production so IH only sold the late grill for replacement until they quit handleing them.If you look at a M parts book dated 4-30-52 it shows grill # 59516 DC.
