Difference between M&W parts and tractors is 3&4 drive gear, 4&5 slider gear, shifting sleeve mechanism size on lower shaft and range gear bushing. To put M in SM use the M counter shaft with all M&W parts, change reverse idler gear and slide all M gears with the one M&W gear on your main shaft unless its bad.Use the M&W input shaft. Whichever shift type you have will interchange. May find some M&W kits have little differences. I like the gear spacing for a M better than SM with M&W.1&2 slider gear will interchange between tractors, but I would change all that was set if good. If wanting PTO don't use early dog type counter shaft from M.I would stay away from all real early gears in M also.
