To Install dry sleeves: Thorougly clean cylinder block bore and counterbore removing all carbon and foreign matter, wipe O.D. of sleeve; then use glycerine, stoddard solvent or other light sealing lubricant between sleeve and cylinder block bore. CAUTION: SLEEVE MUST ENTER APPROXIMATELY HALF-WAY INTO BLOCK BY "PALM OF HAND" PRESSURE. IF IT DOES NOT, IT IS NECESSARY TO HONE THE BLOCK TO OTAIN PROPER FIT. THIS IS IMPORTANT SINCE A FORCE FIT WOULD DECREASE THE INSIDE DIAMETER OF THE SLEEVE RESULTING IN INSUFFICIENT PISTON TO CYLINDER CLEARANCE. After installing halfway by hand pressure, us a good sleeve puller to complete installation. If no sleeve puller is available, cover the entire top of sleeve with hard wood lock and tap lightly with mallet to set in place. I do not suggest that you use the heat on the block and the cold on the sleeves. Should be installed at ambient temperature.
