Hi , That explains the hard black tar like substance I had to remove from the edge of the lenses . I just thought it was 5o year old rubber gasket material . Makes me wonder if windshield sealant wouldn't work like that ? Vaseline up the inside of the molding ring and the fluted parts of the lens and run a bead around the ring , insert the lens and cut it clean when it's cured ? I MIGHT try that with a rusted out housing I have to see if I can figure out how to make it work . Thanks ! ...Randy
