I have (VERY) vague memories of a contraption that could be bolted to the back of the F-20 to make the PTO conform to what I think became an industry standard around 1950 (?). I also believe that is why IHC put that little PTO shifter box on the back of the H and M in the last few years of their production--it extended the PTO shaft. I also have (VERY) vague memories of the new standard shaft being a bit bigger than the older PTO shafts. I had an F-20 for a little while, about 20 years ago, and it had some sort of PTO extension, with a little platform on top--probably to keep the driver's clothes away from the shaft! This is what is prompting the memories of PTO changes from long ago. Sorry if I can't be more helpful than this. Somebody out there in that enormous OLDTRACTORLAND must have one of these adaptors to sell.
