IH 706 Propane powered?

I am thinking about buying a Farmall 706, propane powered tractor with 5700 hrs. on it. Just wanted some in put on this particular tractor. The person is selling it for 4250 dollars. Is that a fair price, should I get the diesel model instead? Do you think it would need a overhaul soon, he says the engine doesn't smoke. Thanks, Eddy
