rebuild or repower 1466 mfwd

Ok. I had loaned this old beast out this spring to another farmer to use to haul liquid manure with. Now it always used a little oil. He put apout 75 hours on it and yesterday was the first I've driven it since April. I used it on the forage harvester yeaterday for 5 hours and it used a gallon of oil. I don't have a lot in the tractor cash wise. but I do have a lot of time into it. I've put in new PTO, HD TA, and clutchj and added the MFWD. I'm wondering if I should repower or rebuild the engine? Cost isn't so much of an issue but time is. And If I repower should I stick with the 436 or go 466?
