I have a 475 (technically it's my brothers but he emmigrated 2 years ago, so it's in my care). Without a doubt the best of the 70's IH's. Basically a 574 with a Perkins 212 engine in it. The only part I haven't been able to source is the fancy exhaust manifold which is an IH special and has been out of production for many, many years. It now has an MF165 manifold grafted to the original silencer. It's not the only 74 series I've seen with a non-IH engine in it though. About 2 years ago I saw a 574 with a 4/98 Leyland engine grafted in, which was built specially for match ploughing. A local agricultural engineer has built a monster V-12 VM diesel (about 450hp) into one too (just as a rolling display really - the gearbox'd last about a second if he really loaded it!) It was in Tractor & Machinery magazine a few months back... Cheers, JV.
