The style with the tyrods out front is the style used on the early year tractors. Later, IH changed the wide front by putting the tyrods behind. That was a big improvment because with the tyrods in the front, if you bumped into something, the tyrod could break and you could not steer. That's why most of those tyrods that go in the front are welded. That wide front looks factory, but it would depend on the year. What is the year?
