Yes. A JD 227 on an M Farmall was the machine of choice around here for many years. The 227 was offered with two different styles of mounting brackets. One style would fit the picker to John Deere tractors, the other style was the universal mount, which would fit the picker to just about any color of tractor you had. Most of the 227s were sold with the universal mounts, even when the picker was to be mounted on a JD.
