And don't forget the fact that every once in awhile, a cerain manufacturer will come up with an idea or design change that does make one brand just a little bit better than a competing brand. The 227 picker is one example, the JD 494 planter is another. IH did build an excellent picker, and the IH built cyclo planter was very good also, but maybe a bit ahead of its time? I can also remeber when the Massey-Ferguson 410, 510, and later the 750 combines were the machine of choice but when worn out got replaced with the Deere machines, and those combines got replaced with Case-IH. Just goes to show that no single brand is ever the best. The brand you use is whatever is best for your particular situation.
