Picked up a 2 1/2" to 2" reducing bushing and 2" nipple today so that is the route I am going. (Owner of the plumbing store has a 52 H). If the new mufflers are all straight thru design what about swapping over to a nice quiet automotive muffler with 2" inlet? I suppose it would look a little odd; does anyone do that? I'm disappointed that it sounds like neither the factory nor the aftermarket offer a "real" muffler.

I do wear ear muffs whenever operating at any rpm's but am always looking for alternatives. (Like maybe a late generation air conditioned cab!)
