Having taken three down to bare metal, I wouldn't do one for less than $2000, but I'm not in the business. There are near perfect paint jobs (I don't think there is anything that is perfect), there are lousy paint jobs, and everything in between. It does not matter, as long as it satisfies you. I have never seen an old tractor that did not need sheet metal work.
