LA, we are much like you American friends, the celebration is to make the founding of Canada on July 1st 1867. That is the official birthdate of our country. We do much the same things as the fourth of July celebrations you have..a holiday, parades, car shows, tractor pulls, families together, BarBQues, and fireworks...and if you guys hadn't got all upset about the tea tax and that incident in Boston we might all have been celebrating on the same day!!!Heeh hee!
