Try running a hot wire from battery to the coil and see if it will start then. You won't need the switch on for this. It will not tell what the real problem is, but will eliminate some of the possible causes. If it starts and runs you can mark the points,coil and condensor off the suspect list. Then look at some of your wiring. Could even be a short in the starter, swith or who knows what.
