fm: Starting in 1968 all IH tractors were decaled International. Farmalls had the word Farmall in about 1" high letters on the model badge. Prior to 1968 Farmalls were decaled Farmall and the Utilities and Industrials were decaled International. Clamshell fenders disappeared from all American built IH tractors over 40 hp in mid to late 1963. This is a full year before the 656 was introduced. If you have a 656, either Farmall or Utility, it came from the factory with flat top fenders. As I said in the earlier post, it's no problem to change them, clamshells are a direct bolt up. When I installed a cab on my 656 30 years ago, the flat top fenders I removed bolted right up to my 560.
