I have a Lincoln SP100 flux-core at home that I have used on 22 ga body metal, REAL TOUGH! It works but is hard to clean up to finish. Can't run a continous bead either with .035" wire. Gas units can use flux-core either with or without gas. Flux-core digs in better but is messy by itself. It's clean with gas and very aggressive. Back on subject, for body work stick with gas and .023" wire. BTW I like tri-mix myself, little more expensive but nicer finish.
