Had a Japanese beetle outbreak by me Sunday... Every year they attack without mercy and decimate my garden more so than the field crops. I was proactive this year.. 2 jap beetle traps and a healthy dose of Sevin 10 on the veggies, including the sweet corn. Looked last night and found 2 in the whole stand. Those buggers will get on your sweet corn when it is silking and eat the silk right off of the ears which in turn doesn't allow it to pollinate and you end up with less than full ears. They enjoy your tomato and pepper plants also...
