Greetings, After reading many old posts about 12 volt conversions, I think I'm set, but wanted to confirm. My M has a 12 volt generator (not alternator) and starts and runs great on 12 volts. It had a 6 volt coil with a ceramic ballast/resistor wired ahead of the coil. I recently swapped that coil for a 12 volt coil which was on my "new" 300 utility (a 6 volt tractor). This 12 volt coil requires a ballast. Does the ballast now need to be wired between the coil and distributor rather than ahead of the coil as before? Some posts indicated that it didn't matter while others suggested that it needed to be ahead of the distributor to protect the points, etc.. Thanks, Zim
