I have an 806 that is the same way. Mine has the old style shifter placed some bushings on the shifter shaft to keep shifter from wobbling. this helped quite a bit. but it can still bother. tried to adjust linkage by 1/4 turn increments Then I could get reverse and no high. but if I idle the engine way down It will work 85% of the time.
