I don't think it's the fuel pump. When you first start it the fuel pump has nothing to do with it firing or not, cause there is fuel already in the carb. You need to either clean the plugs, or check your timing. And also make sure the advance rod is working. You can get a fuel pump kit from the fordson house. http://www.thefordsonhouse.com/
