Now when you double clutch it also helps to drop the throttle down. I had a heck of a time getting this process down (one really needs three hands to do it effectively), but it does work with very minimal grinding of the gears...when you get it right. It goes like this, at least on an H and a B..should be the same on an A for the most part. 1) Start rolling in 3rd..get up to regular speed via application of throttle. 2) In one smooth (eventually) motion, push clutch, pop tranny into neutral, release clutch, bring throttle down to idle, push clutch, shift to 4th, apply throttle as you let off clutch. 3) cruise on down the highway with a smirk of experience on your face. That should work....but it will take practice!
