You need to remove No1 sparkplug near the radiator and hold your thumb over the plug hole while someone hand cranks the engine until you feel compression against your thumb. Then have them slowly keep cranking until the notch on the damper is aligned with the pointer. Remove your distributor cap and your rotor should be pointing to the No1 plug tower. Then you can adjust these valves counting from radiator end of the engine. 1, 2, 3, 5 then crank the engine until your rotor points to No4 plug wire. The notch on the damper should be aligned with the pointer and then adjust 4, 6, 7, 8 to .020" Cold. Hal
