I just never could bring myself to start out in 4th. I had to have those wheels rolling even if it was just a little before I moved to 4th gear. Never seemed to bother my grandad though. Even in his pickups he'd start out in high gear sometimes. Either that or he'd skip 2nd and go to high. Even with a full load of sweet potato or watermelons. Uphill.
