Gas tank pressure washing

so we are restoring a farmall M with a 9 speed trany. we ,looked in the gas tank to decide if we should pressure wash it with scorching hot water. i don't know if we need to. the inside of the tank is mostly still shiny but there is a little surface rust on the lower part(where the sediment bulb screws in) should we wash it or leave it be and let the gas swishing around clean it up better?
