Oh man, I predict many replies. My preference is a Delco 10SI alternator. I prefer the flame thrower coil which allows me to increase my point gap from 0.023 to 0.043. I prefer the electronic ignition which allowed me to toss my points and condenser (and problems) away. Others prefer points over electronic ignition, others prefer to keep the 6V and not convert, and on and on. There is alot of info if you do a search and also click on the Articles link below. New wiring (proper gauge), soldered connections with heat shrink tubing, etc etc are prefered by me also. Keep us posted.
