The 100501 is one digit short of the Delco-Remy part numbers (as opposed to the IH number) for the starters on either of my Farmalls, a '47 BN and a '51 SuperC. They both start with 100 or 101, but are seven digits. Still I'd hazard a guess that it's the Selco #. That said, the OM28 soesn't seem just like a serial number, which would logically be the other number. Your handle says "in Aussie". Are you down under? I supppose it's pssible that there was a different supplier or at least a different designation for parts shipped for assembly overseas. So it could be that OM28 is the part # and the other the serial. I started out tryin' to help, but I'm gettin dangerously close to gettin' confused myself now.
