I do love it, living on the land and getting by. Probably too many farmers on this forum to get any support for condemning practicality. For instance, I would never remove the Ball jar my grandpa put on his old M (unless I break it on a branch). He also had it painted in about '57. There was an IH program where they would paint the tractor with a rebuild. They put SM pistons in it and I remember him saying they asked if he wanted SM decals since it was now a SM. He figured he might as well. So now i have an M with SM decals. Not trying to cheat a buyer, but, you know, IH painted it that way and if I ever paint it it will have SM back on it, band brakes and all.
