Hi Bob, it have a bushing where the dog engage. The bushing aling the two PTO shafts, when the bushing is worn the dog don't stay engaged.To change the bushing, drain all the transmission oil, remove the PTO lever, the rear PTO shaft, by the cover to access the clutch, remove the large snap-ring, the cap then the snap-ring on the PTO shaft, remove the next cover, push the PTO shaft then remove the snap-ring next to the gear. Push the shaft all the way to the rear hole. Change the bushing and check for wear on the shaft, machined if so . Bernard le mécano Québec Canada
