Well, that is the way I will head then guys. I don't know enough about it to say if the engine will run with the cap rotated 180 degrees. Since it runs OK some of the time I am thinking this would probably not be it. We put it on the way it came off....but after working through the alternator I am of the opinion that the last fella in there actually knew less than I do!!! It will be nice not having to charge the battery all the time. I have to take my kid to her basketball training today and we go right by TSC. I will stop and look at parts as they are about an hour closer than Case/IH. Hal had a good point and I will try it. Would have been a REAL good indicator of the problem if there was no spark last night. Will keep you posted, thanks guys!
