1950 C thermostat

My 1950 C does not have a water pump but I was wondering should it still have a thermostat or not. The service manual seems to indicate that there was a thermostat in all tractors, even the ones without water pumps. Can someone throw me a bone and if it is supposed to have one, where is it located on the 1950 C without a water pump.
