It is a fair job. The bull gear must be taken off the axle and axle removed from tractor to install the new seal. Some say it can be done by accessing the bull through the hole in the rear end after removing the PTO unit. I have never tried this method. I always pull the deck cover and go in from the top. There is a seal on the outer end of the axle, but it only holds grease as no oil is suppose to be there. The inner seal is the problem.
