Those emblems have always been made of aluminum except for about 2 or 3 years during WW2 when aluminum was in short supply, and then the emblems were made of stamped steel. I don't there were ever any forged emblems. The same tractors that had a steel emblem could possibly also have a steel shift knob instead of rubber.
