Perhaps the farmers should form a Union.

We don't need more Mexican's..we need inventors like Eli Whitney.....who will come up with mechanical means to harvest produce crops like lettuce, pick fruit like oranges and apples, etc., without bruising....what America needs is a generation of thinkers and doers. Not more cheap foreign labor that ends up costing the taxpayer 10X in the end. The Mexicans are far from stupid...they get their woman knocked and make sure she is in the States when delivery time comes...instant Citizenship for the kid and who can drive the parents away from the baby? HAR!

The Industrial farms are what is killing the independent producer.....much like WalMart killing the local mom&pop stores. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to learn that Walmart would be invested in such operations to supply their grocery business.

Everybody should be entitled to a good living. Good doesn't mean opulence, but a decent living so our kids can have plenty to eat, we can wear nice clothes, sleep in a warm home, and we can have a dependable car. It isn't right that the worker scrapes by, while the fat cats at the top live like Robber Barons. This attitude that suggests the rich should stay rich because they own the companies and because we asked them for a job......that we should accept whatever chump change they throw our way....is bullshit. Everybody deserves a slice of the pie. The man at top.....who runs and owns the operation..obviously, he gets the biggest slice, that's only right. But that doesn't mean the workers should only have the crumbs that fall from his table. If there were no workers...Mr. Big couldn't make his fortune. They should be well paid.

Speaking of pie....I'd like to have a good pumpkin pie topped with whipped cream...the real stuff, like granny made.
