will transmission gears from a C work in a B

Hello all,

I have not taken the gears out of my B yet as to compare them, but I have a set of 1 to 4 from a C. The ones from the C are in better shape and will swap them or perhaps get better used gears since I want this thing to last and not have to redue it again. Also are the gears harder on the C? I think I read that some place but cant remember where.
