Don't know what all the fuss is about. I have a 50's vintage cub with a 5' belly mower that runs just fine and cuts several acres with no problem including pretty tall grass. I recently replaced the original IH mower which had rusted out pretty badly over the years with a Woods "59" mower. Still works fine. I think a 6' mower is a bit much for a Cub which is rated about 13 HP. I would check to make sure it is tuned and timed right since Cubs are sensitive to both.
