The word disposes is generally accepted as appropriately being rid of something. Appropriately in this case is selling the recycleable batteries for their metal value 4 to 6$ eash. If some of them can be charged and used for any purpose as a electrical storage device, then the polution and effort that went into making it is being capitalized on. It is way not your place to even suggest what he should do with them. He would never collect them to drop them in the ditch. So revamp your thinking to accept his right to salvage and profit from others who give him batteries. JimN
