If the chassis is a late SMV it would originaly of had a battery box under a different seat. Looks like the starter doesn't have the switch on top with a pull rod to work it as late SMV should have. Can't see the gauge box on steering post, for late SMV it should have a amp gauge , fuse holder, on off switch and light switch. also the steering post should have 2 holes low on post for mounting the regulator with 1/4 inch bolts. M or early SM didn't use these exact features. It does look like the gear shifter is the one used with battery box under seat. Can't be sure from picture but looks like the rear gas tank support has the bracket on the clutch pedal side that starter,choke and belt pulley engaging rod were held in when a live pump and reservoir were not used on a stage 2 super. If the bracket is there the tractor probably came without live hydraulics. Thats about all I can tell from picture and its hard to tell exactly how things are, so I could be mistaken on some things. Leaving the engine and parts out since you know its changed.
