George: You raise a good point, nothing wrong with a good working pitman mower. Dad traded the 7' IH semi-mount we used behind the 130 for a 7' semi-mount NH to hook hay conditioner behind it for use behind the Farmall 300, thus eliminate one tractor. Three days into haying we struck some tangled red clover and grass. I was 4 hours getting 3 rounds on a 12 acre field. Dad decided he'd have a go. Two neighbors came along, one had a MH pacer with mid mount 6' mower and the other a Super A with 6', C-22. They got along great until they had to follow dad with the NH. All three mowers worked great unless following the NH mower. They decided the problem was swath board and stick.
Dad called the NH dealer, told him to make it work or bring back the IH mower. He said, "I can't, I already sold it." He landed in the yard with his very first NH 460 haybine, said, " Use this until I get your mower working right." The haybine never left, first time I ever saw dad trade off a 3 day old machine. The mower was new, we'd had the conditioner 3-4 years.

If i said that this was a little frustrating for him that would be "conservative" in fact the problem had reduce
