Wade: Excellent plow, plow chief bottoms are a down side, super chief are much better and easier to find wear parts for. You can change the bottoms to super chief, but it will require complete change including frog. The plow frame and trip beams are the same for both.
Size of cylinder depends much on tractor as anything. Anything over 3" bore will lift it, however different sizes control speed of lift. 4" will be slower than 3". You may find 3" too fast, personally I'd go with 4". That is what I used with No. 60 and 560 tractor. The linkage on a 70 is very similar, but it does raise higher and goes deeper, thus the same cylinder would be slower on a 70.
