I do not know whether the gauge needs a instrument voltage regulator, (the caseih.com parts description will tell. either way make a series circuit from neg to gauge from gauge to sending unit, and sending unit to pos. (assumes pos ground) when connecting the last wire, just tap it on the terminal. The tapping is to allow the possibility that something is horribly wrong. if the gauge seems to not respont to the touching of the wire to the terminal, connect it and then move the float to see if the needle follows the float. Do not expect rapid needle movement, they do not need to be sensitive. good luck, JimN
