Yeah, I thought about the battery but there is no battery so I couldn't go that route. Re the light switch, would that be the left ammeter post viewed from the driver's seat? This H doesn't have lights and there is no switch on the front of the box, just the gauge. What does that tell me about my electrical configuration...that is, magneto vs distributor or whatever? I'll have to check out the manual when it arrives. Many thanks for the help.
