Not a rocket science answer, but you are over fueling. Check the carb for a leaky seat, too high float level, or just try to lean out the carb a little. What range and type spark plugs are you running. Try a little hotter spark and stay away from Champion plugs. Use AC or Autolites. Sounds like the guy knew there was a problem, thats why he had to clean the plugs that day. It sounds like you need a carb kit most likley. You are in luck though, IH carbs are easy enough for a 1st grader to rebuild. Give that a shot. TSC has kits for around $5-$20 depending on model. Hope this is of some help. Brian
