Richie, Brian is right. Too much fuel is being fed to the engine and the plugs are fouling with soot. Start by adjusting the idle mixture screw for best idle when warm (if that's possible where you are). After the engine gets up to operating temp, adjust the other screw for best operation under load. This will take some time with adjusting and trying it out unless you can do it with some stationary PTO work. I would also replace the plugs. I am running Champion D21Y plugs in my M and have no problems. I had fouling with D15Y and D17Y plugs though. I haven't tried Autolite or AC plugs yet, but others on this and other lists swear by them. Phil
