I discovered the same wobbly gear problem when replacing a TA in a SMTA many years ago. I ordered a replacement gear and needle bearing from Steel Wheel Ranch. I might have bought the shaft as well. Sorry, I can't remember if it had a left hand thread.
I just looked at my SMTA parts book. The listing for item #8 (WASHER, Retaining, Power Take-off Driven Gear) shows a 1/2 - 20 NF x 1-1/8" bolt. Don't know the IH engineering abbreviation for reverse threads but, whatever it is, it doesn't appear to be there.
IH does use 'LH' and 'RH' abbreviations in their "List of Abbreviations" at the beginning of the parts book.
I'd zap the bolt with an impact wrench set to reverse.
