WOW........The mag has nothing to do with a tractors charging system......All you can put on a mag is a one wire switch that grounds out the mag to kill the tractor. I like to have a kill switch on every tractor regardless of mag or dist because my kids know they can stop everything by pushing in the "kill" switch. As far as your C is concerned If you have a gene on it and not an altanator it might need to be re-polarized. I like the 6 volt gene's better then using a 12 v system with alt. I don't have mine hooked up to the "h" and "l" switch that also controls the lights. instead it uses a voltage reg witch maintains the batery for me. Back when these ol girls were new you could "cook" a battery by keeping it on the "h" setting as the operator was responsible for keeping the battery at proper levels.
