I have an I-4 as well, mine has the heavy duty front end, but regular breaks. I entered it in a local tractor pull (the thing is a porker, weighed in at 4660 with only me on it) and it did decent, I kept up with my friends oliver 77 diesal in 4500, 5000, and 5500 lb class. A lot of the parts will interchange from the H's, and as to starters the one I put on mine is from an M. Even one from a model A or C will work, just the switch will be upside down. They are a good tractor, I use mine mostly here on the farm. Good luck with yours.
