The gas tank is the first place to check for junk. As a flow test might show good flow....then you go to drive it and the junk moves over the drain and it runs like crap. You will here guys say "it runs good in reverse up a hill..." or "it only spudders when i make a right turn" A dirty gas tank really can be a pain in the but. So just like the cap says "buy cleen gas and Keep it cleen"
