To my friends here at YT, I'll be offline tomorrow for the big 7.6 mile move. Phone company pulls the plug here at Cuddy Drive at 8AM EDT. Since I'm not changing phone numbers or phone exchange, my thoughts were it would be a matter pulling the plug at the switching station, and just plug it in another hole. Not so Ma Bell claims, pulling that plug is an all day job, they will just barely get it plugged in the new hole by end of 8 hour shift at 5 PM. Them young technicians probably should be enrolled in a fitness program. Here I am 65 years old, was able to take my drill from shop today plug it in at house to drill a larger hole in SMV emblem. Only took me a min. Oh well, so much for modern technology. Phone may be up and running 5 pm, I'll probably wont be. Damn weather is hot and humid for this moving job.
