One guy i know uses a cup brush on an angle grinder a lot when cleaning tractors. Takes some time, but well worth it. A small blaster could help out, and you will find later uses for that. You might consider removing the pump for now, it is hydraulic, right? Then you could get it running without it or wait for a used one to turn up. Lots of 6's layin around in kansas, something will turn up. Or one on a junk m maybe.
